This introduction to pediatric sleep medicine provides the sleep technologist with the basics of normal pediatric sleep development and includes an overview of the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of common pediatric sleep disorders.
Upon completion of this course learners will be able to:
  1. Explain the role of healthy sleep in pediatric growth, development, and daytime functioning
  2. Describe normal sleep architecture, patterns, and developmental changes from infancy through adolescence
  3. Recognize the clinical features of common pediatric sleep disorders
  4. Summarize key diagnostic and treatment approaches used in sleep medicine practice
